EEeek Gads!

Easter is sneaking upon us and I just realized that I have yet to eat one single Cadbury Egg or carton of Peeps.
Two delicious treats I equate to crack cocaine due to their highly addictive qualities.

I'm seriously considering driving out to the store and getting some right this minute.

How about you?? Any Easter treats you just can't resist??

Peeps, Palmers White Chocolate Bunny, and the resurrected Jesus.

The girls have already exploded a peep in the microwave. Another kooky tradition of ours.

We can't resist the Reese's p-nut butter eggs. They're like a Reese's cup on steroids. Too good!!

Russel Stovers' Birds nests, minus the jelly beans are my downfall. I was frantically searching for one a couple of days ago b/c they typically sell out quickly.

Mmm...peeps. Roast them over a fire and they're even better. Mmm...

A big coconut and milk chocolate egg. When I was young, a hundred years ago, you could find egg and cross shaped chocolates with a creamy coconut center. They were wonderful! That company has long been gone but occasionally I can find a chocolate egg filled with coconut. Anything with coconut for me. I also love candy popcorn rabbits. A local candy store makes these big old popcorn bunnies in every Easter color. I usually buy one of each color and decorate the house with them then slowly eat them for the next 6 months. :) Gerry eats Peeps all year long, STALE ones. He opens the boxes, lets them sit for at least a month then gnaws away on them. :)

I am another Peeps addict--and I too like to put them in the microwave. Just for about 30 seconds, until it is four times its original size. Then I whip it with a spoon and let it harden a little. MMMMM. I think I'll be having Husband stop at the store his way home.

Who knew there were so many things to do with peeps....explode them, puff them in the microwave and whip them, let them go stale....we should start a peeps blog.
