Hey!!!!! With your creativity -- I'm betting that you could do it!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I am waiting to see the finished product.
Having tried my hat at making cakes, I have to say....
GO BUY THE CAKE; DO NOT, NOT, NOT MAKE IT!!!
I made two wedding cakes and they were pretty good but I also made a few Bday cakes for some people and they suck. They take forever...baking, cutting, mixing 43 1/2 different colors of icing and then you run out and when you try to mix the exact color again, you might as well be trying to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. After you spend all that time on it, you're wages per hour are something like .2 cents per hour. So, if you want to make Owen a cake for his Bday, make him a wedding cake.
That's my rant. I'm passionate about it. That's all.
So...how's your day?
My mom ALWAYS made our cakes. They were so cute too. Needless to say I will not be carrying on that tradition. Store bought cakes here we come!
No,no,no,AL...let the tradition continue. Let your MOM make the cake. She's happy that you let her do it for the precious GRANDBABY's birthday, and you saved yourself $20.
