The Tricycle

AJ got this Lightening McQueen tricycle for Christmas from his grandma. He loves it of course, and has been scooting around on it for the last month by "walking" his feet on either side of it. Steve-o and I have been encouraging him to pedal it with his feet, which he's been trying to do for a couple weeks now.
Well, yesterday it all clicked and he's been a tricycling fool ever since then. It's freezing outside and he wants to go up and down the street and around the block over and over again. He's pretty fast too, although that doesn't surprise me - he's very athletic and has never had a problem doing things requiring gross motor skill.
Owen, on the other hand, refuses to even TRY to ride his bicycle, but instead chooses to walk or ride along in the wagon as we circle the block! Funny kid. :)
Some pictures......

Overexposed this one, but I like it anyway.

Later!

The overexposed pic clearly shows the sound that all boys, in my experience, make when riding or "driving" cars. Even if the "car/motocycle" is just a block, they put their little lips together, hum, and, "pppbbb" there it is, an instant vehicle, slobber and all.

This sound is also known to be made by mice riding motorcycles.."The Mouse and the Motorcycle," which, BTW, is enjoyed by little girls, as well. Required reading/book report for Molly this year. Never read the book 'til then. I quite liked it myself. Ornery little mouse didn't listen to his mother.

BTW, where do boys learn that this pursing of the lips, humming & blowing causes a sound, which they interpret as a car? Is this genetic? I seriously should have become a geneticist...or a mother. :0)

Who's the traveling saint? Just curious. Any Catholic or Anglican out there? Divinity/theology/Biblical history scholars? Any Baptist smarter than I?

overexposed pic would make an excellent marketing poster for an action film starring A.J. where the kid saves the world from aliens who want to blow it up...he rides his tricycle to a remote part of the globe and unlocks a coded message that ultimately sends them all back to their planet
Title: The Trikenator...(it's a working title, of course!)

THANK YOU, Casey! I don't know why, but all of a sudden I had to know. You made my day, but then it's Saturday and I'm just now looking for the answer so I guess I lived. Thanks again.
