What to do in Albany? That is the question....

Ok, Albanians.....my brother and his family (read, wife and 4 kids) are coming to visit us next week and I've been pondering what in the HECK to do around here for fun. Anyone have any suggestions?? The weather is so hot that doing anything outside for a prolonged period of time is out of the question.....especially considering that my brother and his fam are coming from Michigan and their blood is about as thin as Nicole Ritchie's arms and being exposed to Georgia heat and humidity will have them withered, wet, and nearing evaporation if they are without air conditioning for longer than 26 minutes.

So.....what to do?? And PLEASE....no one say the Riverquarium...because if I wanted to blow $22 to look at RIVER fish, I'd.....nevermind. Who would want to blow $22 to look at trout??

Bowling, Putt-Putt (they have some kind of deal on Tuesdays), ... I can't think of much else to do in Albany besides going out to eat.

The Clay Spot (if it's open):you get to paint pottery and they'll fire it for you to pick up a few days later.

Sting Beads (kinda girly?):Choose from a million different beads to make bracelets, necklaces, and such.

Fire Station:The main station downtown does tours on Wednesday for groups. You may be placed with a school group, but they'll get to see the station and trucks and a fire safety puppet show.

*Warning* If your kids every go with a school group it will be the exact same show so this could ruin the surprise later.

*BONUS* The station is practically walking distance from the Riverquarium!

Albany is so freakin boring. So all I can think of is Putt Putt and bowling... but Erica already covered that.

There is Stardust skating rink- I havent been there in about 5 years, but then they had arcade games and other stuff to do along with skating.

And Clint had a good idea with the Clay Spot. I do love that place.

The Parks at Chehaw is another option- but I wouldnt go during summer... especially if I were from Michigan.

Then there is my fallback. Movie Theatre. Then you can go to Elements coffee shop and check that out! :)
