Whose definition of torture are we talking about?
It's the music player! Distracting when I like the song and annoying when I don't... either way I lose focus and your blog suffers the consequences.
Maybe if this place was public and would pop up in peoples readers where they didn't have to remember to check it, you'd have better results.
