Has anyone out there ever done a compost pile or compost bin? I'd like to try it for our garden and to reduce garbage, so I've been reading up on it, but I'm a little afraid that it will attract rodents or small animals or lots of bugs or something.
There's about a million how-to's out there on the internet...here's one that I found.
Anybody know anything about it??

Our compost container attracted snakes last year. Being Uncle Gerry and I are still new city transplants to the country the milk snake that scared the you know what outta Gerry really did look like a diamond back venomous filled snake. We have a Rubbermade container for composts. Nice holding bin....at least the snakes like it. ;)
yeah... I want to compost in Valdosta... so I need info too!
I wanna do this too! Attracting snakes would be a HUGE problem for me as I have an epic phobia of them, but since I have Sid the super dog on duty, I think I'm good.
I'm thinking, buy the wire, and try it....what's the worst that can happen?
